Dear Colleagues!

I would like to introduce one of my own developments, which aims to make veterinary anesthesia safer. This is the Vetaneszt Pressure Control Adapter, which is designed to prevent the pressure in the respiratory system of the anesthesia machine from rising too high.

There are two ways to use it:
1) Safety pressure valve, which is set above the desired ventilation pressure (PIP) and does not open during normal use, only if a “catastrophic situation” develops and thereby saves the life of the anesthetized animal.
2) In this case, the valve is set to the desired PIP value and the valve opens during each manual breath. This allows precise control of the inspiratory pressure, which is safer for the patient and more comfortable for the anesthesia staff.
