Available courses

  1. Basics of Inhalational Anesthesia
This course focuses on dogs and cats and provides a brief but comprehensive introduction to modern inhalational anesthesia, including physiology, pharmacology, monitoring, and anesthetic equipment. The course is designed to provide solid practical foundations for veterinarians with little or no previous experience in inhalational anesthesia. Participants will gain a practical understanding of the most important principles, common complications, and their management, allowing them to begin using inhalational anesthesia more confidently in everyday clinical practice. The course consists of 3 videos with a total duration of 6 hours and 20 minutes.
  2. Advanced Patient Monitoring and Mechanical Ventilation
This advanced-level course focuses on the monitoring, physiology, complications, and clinical management of the most important organ systems during anesthesia in dogs and cats. The lectures provide a practical and clinically oriented overview of circulation, ventilation, oxygenation, and mechanical ventilation, helping participants develop a deeper understanding of critical patient management during anesthesia. The course also includes a detailed introduction to modern mechanical ventilation concepts, ventilator classification, indications and contraindications, ventilation modes, pulmonary atelectasis, and alveolar recruitment strategies. Using the Mindray Veta 5 ventilator as a practical example, the course demonstrates the most important ventilation modes commonly found in modern anesthesia machines. This course is strongly recommended for veterinarians who have already completed the “Basics of Inhalational Anesthesia” course or already possess solid basic knowledge of inhalational anesthesia. The course consists of 4 videos with a total duration of approximately 7 hours.

Instructor’s Observation

Based on my experience, colleagues who attend the courses in person rarely revisit the online recordings afterwards. In contrast, those who specifically choose virtual participation usually watch the recordings two or three times and invest much more effort in mastering the material.

Since the content is exactly the same in both formats, the difference lies in the fact that online participants tend to rewatch and repeat the videos, which allows them to study the material much more consciously and in greater depth.

As a result, when I meet colleagues at practical workshops who have previously completed my online courses, they often respond to my questions immediately and with confidence. In comparison, participants who only attended in person are often more hesitant.

This does not mean that one format is inherently more valuable than the other. Rather, it emphasizes that personal effort and repeated review of the videos are key elements in the learning process. My experience clearly shows that online participation is by no means of lesser value than attending in person.

What do participants say?

For those who cannot attend the courses in person, or who prefer to study at home on their own, the online course is an excellent choice. The lectures are clear, engaging, and filled with useful, practice-oriented knowledge and information. What’s more, you can rewatch them as many times as needed. I am very glad I completed this online course, and I wholeheartedly recommend it to all colleagues.
