This cat was given opioids, midazolam, ketamine, propofol and isoflurane during anesthesia. Normally, we would expect excitement and dysphoria. However, if we immobilize it tightly, wrapped in a towel, and wake it up by calming it in the hand, petting it, we can gain the animal’s trust and prevent the state of excitement.
