Anesthesia Courses

About my teaching philosophy

I have devoted my professional career to advancing education, clinical practice, and research in the field of veterinary anesthesia. For more than twenty years, I have been actively involved in teaching small animal practitioners in Hungary, placing strong emphasis on a solid understanding of theoretical concepts and their precise translation into practical skills. My teaching philosophy is simple: what cannot be meaningfully applied in clinical practice should not take up space in training.

I am now extending these activities to Romania and other Central and Eastern European countries, with the intention of offering regular theoretical and practical courses. I am also open to partnerships with colleagues or organizations interested in helping with local course organization. If you would like to get involved, please feel free to contact me through the contact page.

If you are interested in attending a course, please check the Current Courses section below, or browse the Past Courses to see what is also available in online format.

Finally, here are two free downloadable resources that anyone is welcome to use. The Numerical Reference Guide is one of the cornerstones of my teaching – it becomes especially powerful when used alongside my Basic Anesthesia Training, and it is freely available for anyone who finds it useful.

What participants say

I found the course incredibly valuable for strengthening my knowledge of anaesthesia and for building the confidence to perform procedures without fear. I have also had the privilege of applying these methods and teachings from the very beginning of my veterinary career under the mentorship of Dr. Solyom. I look forward to joining future courses to further develop my skills and become an even better veterinarian.

Dr. Elizabeth Ramsey

Veterinary practitioner, Vet Point Vest - Cabinet Veterinar, Arad, Romania

I recommend this course to all my clinical colleagues, as we monitor anesthesia every day and it is crucial to recognize and manage complications. Dr. Ambrisko’s energetic presentation style, his endless patience, and his unparalleled commitment to ensuring that we truly understand the material so we can grow into better professionals, made this a truly special experience.

Dr. Marianna Korodi

Dr. Ambrisko is a fantastic teacher, he explains everything logically in a way that makes us truly understand the reasons behind it. I am sure I will approach anesthesia for our animals differently from now on! Thank you so much for everything!
